Business Improvement Areas & Markets

June 17, 2015

Our two BIA’s advocate for the many shops and restaurants that make Kitchissippi such a popular destination for residents and non-residents alike.  At the monthly meetings I witness the creativity and drive that helps bring people in droves to eat at our restaurants, buy clothes, canoes and of course a great cup of coffee.

Parkdale Market and Savour Ottawa Field House

We are so fortunate to have a thriving market in the heart of Kitchissippi ward, open in the spring through to fall it is a spectacular location to purchase fruits and vegetables for your family table and plants and flowers for your garden.  On May 7, 2011 I was at the grand opening of the new Savour Ottawa Field House which features fresh and frozen vegetables as well as a full line of healthy frozen prepared foods.   New vendors are being included all the time and we hope of make this market an exciting place for everyone to shop! The shop will carry a mix of certified organic and conventional items.  Please do stop by it is difficult to resist.

Westboro Farmers Market

Byron Park – Ottawa
Saturdays 9:30 am – 3:00 pm, May 18 to October 26

Now this is what the community has been looking forward to for some time.  After a very successful inaugural season in 2012, the Ottawa Farmers’ Market returned for a second season in Westboro. Located along the beautiful walking path of the Byron Linear Park, between Golden, Richmond and Byron Avenues, the Westboro Farmers Market is growing with more than 65 vendors. See the complete list of Westboro vendors.
